Kelvin Fletcher said he feels complete after marrying long-time love Elizabeth
"The image of Liz coming towards me up the aisle will live with me forever. She took my breath away. She looked so beautiful," he said.
The couple, who knew each other when they were children but only got together when they met again around ten years ago, tied the knot on 28 November in a magical ceremony at London's One Mayfair, a year to the day he proposed.
Kelvin was overcome with emotion during the ceremony, telling HELLO!: "We’re here in a big posh venue but I'm just a working-class boy and it's the simple things that matter to me – like genuine words of love and support."
Among the guests were Elizabeth's long-time friend, HELLO! Online blogger Michelle Keegan, and Kelvin's Emmerdale co-stars, including Danny Miller who said: "I was quite emotional when Kelvin started crying. We’re very close as a cast and it feels as if it’s your brother up there getting married."
The day brought back memories for Michelle of her own wedding to Mark Wright in May. "Seeing Liz and Kelvin looking so happy, I wish I could do it all over again. I knew exactly how she must have been feeling: emotional and a little bit nervous."
Added Kelvin: "We didn't need a piece of paper to prove anything because we know we love each other. But now that it's here, it feels so right," he added. "Marriage completes us."
